It is possible to remap the physical senses to perceive meta-information.
Most people, when they see visual information, just see the surface of it. Somewhere in childhood, Angel has remapped his visual senses to see meta-information, so that when the boys in his class thought a girl very pretty ... he would see an ugly girl, because he was looking at her energy at a deeper level. An what others thought was a very plain girl, he might see as really lovely. This remapping can also be done with hearing, smelling, or touch.
Although Remapping the physical senses to a structural or sometimes fundamental level of perceiving, does mean that the strictly physical perception becomes less, it may eventually be something that is studied and practised by many Sensers, although you may want to focus on only one sense.
